New Bird Alert 🕊️✨ Meet Shiro, My Albino Parakeet!
So today I brought home a new little companion — an albino parakeet! These beauties are super rare to find in pet shops, and if they do show up, they’re usually gone by the next day. Albino parakeets are all white with striking red eyes, pink legs, and cere — it’s all due to the Ino gene, which also creates lutino (yellow) parakeets. Basically, they lack the melanin that gives most budgies their color.
I think Shiro is a girl, but she’s still such a tiny baby that it’s too early to tell for sure. I named her Shiro — it means “white” in Japanese 🤍 and honestly, I’m already in love.
She’s definitely not tame (yet!), unlike my other birds who are more semi-tame. But I’m patient and looking forward to bonding with her. This will officially be my last bird — and I wanted to make it a special one 💫 #parakeet #Lemon8Diary #lemon8contentcreator #animal
