After years of trying, I can finally say I have my driver’s license! 🥹💪🏽
I started this journey when I was 16, doing Driver’s Ed back in high school. I passed the class, but getting my permit took a while. My parents didn’t help much with the process, so I was kind of on my own. I did some driving school, and my mom helped a bit, but honestly, I didn’t get the practice I needed. I ended up failing the road test three times and eventually gave up. School was already a lot, and trying to balance both felt overwhelming.
Fast forward to the pandemic—I tried again but couldn’t pass the written test no matter how hard I tried. That discouraged me again. But something shifted in 2023. I was determined to make it happen. I started practicing, studying daily, taking online practice tests, and watching YouTube videos to really understand what I was doing wrong.
One driving school site had practice exams with the exact same questions as the real test—just worded differently. That helped so much. I finally passed the written test and then focused heavily on driving practice. I scheduled three different road tests before finally feeling ready.
July 10th, 2025 — the day it finally happened. I was nervous, my mouth was dry from anxiety 😅 but I kept manifesting and praying. I took my road test in Lodi, NJ, and it honestly wasn’t bad! Just some reversing, stopping at signs, and basic intersection stuff. I did mess up at the end and turned into the wrong exit, but the instructor still passed me 🙏🏽.
This has been a long, frustrating road—literally—but I stuck with it, and it finally paid off. If you really want something in life, stay focused, manifest it, and keep showing up for yourself. God really came through for me. 💛
