Sephora sale: Part 1
I took advantage of the @sephora sale this time and these are the items I got and whether or not I plan on upgrading or not.

Participating in a Sephora sale always feels like a mini adventure, especially when it involves exploring new fragrances. From my experience, sales are a perfect opportunity to test scents you’ve been curious about without fully committing financially. For instance, I took a chance with Seven Virtues Vanilla Woods, a fragrance that reminded me more of Amber notes than traditional vanilla. If you’re like me and hesitant about dominant amber, you might find this less appealing. On the other hand, Kayali’s Wedding Velvet Santal strikes a nice balance, slightly edgier than its popular sister scent, Wedding Santal. It’s intriguing, but not quite different enough to justify adding both to my collection. One discovery set that stood out was Maison Louis Marie’s. The Bois de Balincourt fragrance was so impressive that I immediately ordered a larger bottle. However, the vanilla in the set felt quite average, so I decided to pass on that one. It’s always helpful to rely on discovery sets during sales as they offer a sampling journey before committing to full bottles. Not all purchases were hits—Henry Rose’s rose scent was nice but not compelling enough, and I was underwhelmed by London 1983 and Queen & Monsters, which I expected more from given their amber gourmand categorizations. Ripe by Henry Rose, however, was a definite highlight; it carries an excellent scent profile that I’d happily repurchase. If you’re exploring Sephora sales, I’d recommend focusing on fragrances that either offer you a unique twist on familiar notes or those you’ve tested in-store and want to add to your collection. Blind buys can be hit or miss, so pairing your purchase with a robust return policy or sampling first can save regret. Also, taking advantage of discovery sets is a savvy way to broaden your scent library incrementally. Remember, the joy of fragrance shopping during a sale isn’t just about the savings but discovering scents that resonate deeply with your personal style and mood. Happy smelling!
