Sensationnel Textured Clip-ins

With the price of everything going up, I wanted to try and get back into the swing of doing my own hair. By no means am I a professional just getting it done and trying different styles out.

These hair clips came in so clutch. They are a synthetic fiber blend that I purchased from my local Beauty Master for $36. They did not take long to put in and I am very satisfied with the results.

How are you ladies styling your hair for the holiday?

I've been trying out new lenses and I am aware that the video is a bit blurry lol. Y'all just be patient with me as I continue to improve. 😌

... Read moreSince discovering just how much I love my 'Sensational Textured Clip-Ins' for quick and easy hair transformations, I wanted to share a few more tips that have really helped me. The original post was just a peek, but trust me, there's so much more to love when you know how to make them work best for you! First off, choosing the right 'Textured Clip-Ins' is key. When you're at the beauty supply, try to match the texture as closely as possible to your own hair. Sensationnel offers a great range, so take your time. If you're unsure, go for a texture that's slightly looser than your natural curl pattern, as it's often easier to blend. Think about the length and volume you want to achieve. For a natural look, starting with a length that isn't too dramatic can be a good idea. My $36 synthetic blend was perfect for adding fullness without looking overdone. Now, for putting them in! I found that sectioning my hair carefully makes all the difference. Start by creating a clean horizontal part at the nape of your neck. Take your first 'Clip-In' weft and clip it securely to the base of that section. Work your way up your head, creating new horizontal parts and attaching the wefts. Make sure the clips lie flat against your scalp to avoid bumps. I usually leave out a good portion of my own hair around my hairline and part to ensure seamless blending. Once all your 'Sensationnel Clip-Ins' are in, gently brush or finger-comb your own hair over the tracks and blend them in. A little mousse or defining cream can help meld your natural hair with the synthetic texture. Caring for these synthetic 'Textured Clip-Ins' is quite simple and crucial for their longevity. Unlike human hair, you don't need to wash them frequently. When they do need a refresh, I gently wash them in lukewarm water with a mild shampoo, focusing on the clips first if they have product buildup. Then, I condition them, detangle with a wide-tooth comb from ends to roots, and rinse thoroughly. Air-drying is best; just lay them flat on a towel or hang them up. Store them properly, perhaps in their original packaging or a satin bag, to prevent tangling and dust. The beauty of these 'Clip-Ins' is their versatility. For a casual everyday look, I just blend them in for added volume and length. For a more festive vibe, especially with the holidays coming up, I've tried half-up, half-down styles, or even a low ponytail with some face-framing pieces left out. You can also experiment with braids or twists if the texture allows. Just remember, since they are synthetic, avoid direct heat like flat irons or curling wands unless specified as heat-friendly. Overall, my Sensationnel 'Textured Clip-Ins' have been a game-changer for my DIY hair journey. They're affordable, easy to manage, and offer so many styling options. Don't be afraid to experiment and find what works for you! What are your favorite ways to style clip-ins?
