The silver light from the two moons still shines down on the forest floor where they both stand. Despite everything looking similar, the feeling is completely different. The air around is like life. The shadow of the tree moves slower than the real tree. And faint whispers still hover in the air like the breath of the forest.
She kept holding his hand tight, even saying nothing, but her squeeze clearly said that she was afraid, and he felt no different, but he would not let go, because this was the first time in years that he had held her hand again, and he would not let it last.
"We have to get out of here first," he said softly.
"You see the exit? It's not the forest I know."
He looked around, tall trees lined up like natural walls, no corridors, no traces of animals, not even the sound of the wind, everything was unusually still, like a forest watching them.
