show up for yourself!!!👇🏼🌻🐣✨🫶🍋
2024 was my year for ME!!! and these are 5 things i did every single day to show up for myself (even when i didn’t want to)
1. ate breakfast every day before work — i used to skip breakfast all the time and then i would be HANGRY and nauseous as anything come lunch time. this year, even on the mornings i didn’t want to, i ate a small something for breakfast and it really makes all the difference!!!🥞
2. 15 minutes of physical exercise minimum each day. this ones self explanatory but in case you don’t know, exercising releases happy endorphins into your blood stream and literally is a mood booster😊
3. drank enough water — hydrate or diedrate and that’s all i’m gonna say
4. removed people from my life who do not bring me joy or peace. this one was soooo hard because i had to end some long term friendships but i don’t have the space or energy to hold onto people who are not kind to me🥺
and 5. gave myself actual nights off where i didn’t work — as a high school teacher it is SO hard to come home and let myself do nothing (because i ALWAYS have something to do) but i tried my best to give myself one night a week where i didn’t bring home any school work and it was amazing!!!!!
cheers to 2025 — stay tuned for my new year’s resolutions! #newyears #2024lifereset #2025 #unfiltered #embracevulnerability
In today's fast-paced world, taking time for self-care is essential. Here are five practical strategies to help you show up for yourself every day, even during challenging times. 1. Start your day with a nutritious breakfast. Research shows that fueling your body in the morning can boost energy levels and stabilize mood throughout the day. Try oats, yogurt, or a smoothie packed with fruits and veggies! 2. Incorporate short bursts of exercise into your routine. Whether it's a brisk walk, yoga, or a quick HIIT session, just 15 minutes can significantly elevate your mood and reduce stress. 3. Remember to stay hydrated—aim to drink at least eight glasses of water daily. Proper hydration is essential for maintaining your energy levels and cognitive function. 4. Surround yourself with positive influences. Assess your relationships and distance yourself from those who bring negativity. A supportive community fosters joy and peace, essential for personal growth. 5. Lastly, carve out time for yourself—whether it's reading, meditating, or pursuing a hobby. Giving yourself permission to relax and recharge will improve your productivity and mental health. Embrace these habits in 2024 for a fulfilling year ahead!
