A little about me!!
hi 👋
i’m Selena a ftm to a sweet 2-month-old baby girl! Motherhood has been the most beautiful and rewarding journey, full of challenges, lessons, and so much love. I’m 25 and recently graduated from Oakland University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. When I’m not busy navigating life as a new mom, I love spending my time behind the camera, watching or playing sports, or reading! 😊
Being a first-time mom (FTM) is a profoundly transformative experience that involves a steep learning curve, emotional growth, and discovering new strengths. Many new mothers find that embracing the support of communities—both online and offline—can significantly ease the transition. Connecting with other FTMs or first-time moms through forums or social media groups can provide invaluable advice, encouragement, and friendship. Motherhood often brings unexpected challenges, from sleepless nights to balancing personal interests with baby care. It's important for new mothers to prioritize self-care, whether through hobbies like photography, sports, or reading, as these activities help maintain mental and emotional well-being. Graduating with a Communications degree, as Selena did, also equips her with skills to express her journey creatively and connect with others through storytelling. Additionally, understanding the physical and emotional changes postpartum aids in setting realistic expectations. Seeking guidance from healthcare professionals and experienced mothers can foster confidence in parenting decisions. Whether it’s managing feeding schedules or navigating baby milestones, every moment shapes this rewarding journey. Finally, acknowledging the love and transformation that come with motherhood enriches the experience. Sharing personal stories candidly not only empowers other first-time moms but also builds a supportive community where authentic connections flourish.
