I love the warm notes when Golden Nectar dries down on my skin. It is such beautiful fragrance, but I wish it would last the whole day on my skin. I get about 3 hours of wear. I can’t wait to wear it more during the fall weather.

The Sol De Janeiro 68 is my favorite out of all of them. This smell similar to Burberry Her and Ariana Grande Cloud. My only downside is I don’t get much wear out of this one either, maybe 1-2 hours at the most.

⭐️I give these both a 7/10

... Read moreOkay, so you've seen my initial thoughts on the Nest Golden Nectar, but let's dive a little deeper into why I gave it that 7/10! When I first sprayed this beauty from my Sephora purchase, I was immediately hit by that rich golden orchid, which quickly settles into the most comforting amber and musk. It’s truly a scent that evolves beautifully on the skin. You know how some fragrances just smell *expensive*? This is one of them. The initial burst of golden orchid is intoxicating, a sophisticated floral that isn't overly sweet. As it dries, the amber and musk really shine, creating a warm, inviting aura that feels luxurious and comforting. It’s definitely a fragrance that makes you feel put-together and elegant. My main challenge, as I mentioned, is the wear time. Getting about 3 hours means it's not an all-day scent without reapplying, which can be a bummer for a fragrance you truly adore. However, I've found a few tricks to make it last longer! Layering it over a good unscented lotion or even a complementary body oil (something with amber or vanilla notes works wonders) really helps anchor the scent. I've also experimented with spraying it on my clothes, and it clings there much better, giving me little wafts throughout the day. For special occasions or when I want it to really perform, I’ll sometimes layer it with a matching body cream if I can find one, or even a very light vanilla-scented lotion to boost its longevity. It's truly a beautiful fragrance, and with a little effort, you can definitely extend its presence. Speaking of its vibe, while I initially thought of it for fall, I've actually been enjoying it on cooler summer evenings too, and I can imagine it being stunning in spring. It’s versatile enough for a date night, a cozy day in, or even a professional setting where you want something subtle yet captivating. If you're someone who loves warm, slightly sweet, and sophisticated floral scents with a musky dry down – especially with those prominent golden orchid, amber, and musk notes – this is definitely one to sniff out at Sephora. While it might not have beast-mode projection, its elegant sillage is perfect for intimate settings where you want to leave a subtle, memorable trail without overwhelming anyone. It's more of a personal scent bubble, which I sometimes appreciate. Now, comparing it to the Sol de Janeiro 68, which was also part of my Sephora haul and has those lovely Brazilian jasmine, pink dragonfruit, and sheer vanilla notes, they offer quite different experiences. The Sol de Janeiro 68 is more of a vibrant, juicy fruity floral, brimming with youthful energy. It reminds me of bright, sunny days and feels incredibly playful. The Nest Golden Nectar, in contrast, feels more mature, enveloping, and perhaps a bit more mysterious. They both have that 'pretty' factor, but Nest leans into elegance and warmth, while Sol de Janeiro is pure fun and sunshine. If you're deciding between the two, think about your mood or the occasion: sophisticated warmth for Nest or playful sweetness for Sol de Janeiro? Both are fantastic additions to a fragrance collection, offering distinct moods and vibes that are perfect for different moments. It’s hard to pick a true favorite because they serve different purposes, but for sheer comfort and elegance, Nest Golden Nectar has a special place in my heart.
