A Tangle in the Forest
This is a #photo manipulation #art piece I made out of… can you guess what? Literally it’s the simplest, most random thing in the world, but I absolutely love how it turned out! #digitalart #photography
….
Okay, you’ve guessed enough lol I was taking photos of an old Mac to list on Marketplace, and noticed this really pretty texture that kept popping up in the reflections of the light against the dirty screen. I cleaned it, but the smears were still present on camera! So, I took an art piece my partner painted off the wall, and held it in front of me while I photographed the Mac screen, so it would overlay that weird windex-swiped texture onto a clouded, blackened & warped version of his painting, and voila! This beautiful thing was born! After a few digital edits (like reshaping the warped photo into a perfect rectangle), color clarification & simply overlaying the same image onto itself in at a different angle, this was the end result!
This is why I love creating digital art so much. You can take anything and make anything with it, even when you have absolutely nothing in mind and no idea what’s going to come out of it. So much beauty can stem from so much simplicity!
