Leavenworth, WA (Part 2)

My recent visit to Leavenworth, Washington, was nothing short of a fairytale! Stepping into this quaint Bavarian village nestled in the Cascades always feels like being transported to another world. For those who love the outdoors, Leavenworth is truly a paradise. The surrounding Cascade mountains offer incredible opportunities for hiking, biking, and in winter, skiing and snowshoeing. I always make sure to take a scenic walk along the Wenatchee River, enjoying the fresh mountain air and stunning views. It’s a wonderful way to work off those delicious pastries! Even if you're not an avid adventurer, just finding a quiet bench by the river with your coffee offers a serene escape. It’s these moments of peace amidst the lively village that I cherish most. To truly enjoy Leavenworth, I'd recommend visiting during the shoulder seasons if possible, to avoid the biggest crowds – though the festive atmosphere during Christmas and Oktoberfest is certainly unique! Parking can be a bit tricky, so arriving early or utilizing the shuttle services is a smart move. Don't be afraid to venture off the main drag; I found some of the most delightful spots, including art galleries and quiet riverside benches, just a block or two away. Each visit reveals a new 'Leavenworth hidden gem' for me. Whether you're a coffee connoisseur or simply looking for a charming escape, Leavenworth, WA, truly has something for everyone. It's a place where you can relax, explore, and create lasting memories. I always leave feeling refreshed and already planning my next return.
