Cheesecake Factory Fried Mac & Cheese at HOME 🧀💕

I love Cheesecake Favtory and their Fried Mac and Cheese is my favorite appetizer. These taste better IMO and at a fraction of the price, you get double the amount.

All you need is one box of Velveeta and an additional 6 oz of Velveeta cheese. 2 eggs, panko breading

Prepare as box directed, add in 6 ounces of additional cheese 1tbs pepper and garlic powder.

Once cooled form balls and freeze for atleast 15/20 mins or until firm

Remove from freezer and coat with egg and panko crumbs

Freeze until firm

Once firm you can deep fry until golden brown

Enjoy 🧀

One box makes approx 8 Mac and cheese balls 💕

Using Velveeta, known for its creamy melt and rich cheese flavor, really helps achieve that authentic texture and taste reminiscent of Cheesecake Factory’s appetizer. One tip I found helpful is to chill the mac and cheese balls thoroughly before coating and frying; this prevents them from falling apart when fried, ensuring a golden, crispy exterior. If you want to add a little extra flavor, consider mixing finely chopped herbs like parsley or chives into the mac and cheese mixture. This not only adds freshness but brightens the overall flavor. For the frying step, use a neutral oil like vegetable or canola oil heated to around 350°F (175°C) for perfect crispiness without absorbing too much oil. Also, don’t be afraid to experiment with the seasoning—adding garlic powder and black pepper gives a savory kick that complements the creaminess well. Some people love serving these balls with a side of marinara or ranch dipping sauce to enhance the appetizer experience. Making about 8 balls from one box of Velveeta shells and cheese is very economical and doubles the amount you’d get at the restaurant, making this recipe ideal for gatherings or snack time. I especially enjoy preparing this recipe for game days or family dinners because it’s easy to make ahead and cook just before serving. Give this simple yet delicious homemade treat a try—you might find it even better than the original!
