My glow-up routine for the new year ✨

☀️ Wake up at 7am

I’m a big sleepyhead so 7am is already super early for me. Even though I naturally love sleeping in, I’ve found it so rewarding to be able to wake up a few hours early and get a head start to my morning routine.

💦 100 oz of water

I find that I have so much more energy when I stay properly hydrated throughout the day. I feel my best when I’m drinking about 100 oz of water a day, and it helps when I have a water bottle that is convenient to use and that holds a lot of water.

✍🏻 Morning Pages

In the book, The Artist’s Way, Julia Cameron encourages a type of writing called Morning Pages, where we write three pages of stream-of-consciousness writing in the morning. This practice has helped me clear my mind and spark wonder and creativity in my life.

💭 Work on content

I love creating content, but I often struggle with being consistent because creating content is hard work. It takes so much creativity, time, and energy, and I find it hard to prioritize it amongst other more chill and mindless activities. However, content creating is something I really want to do more, so I’ve made it a goal to work on my content every single day, even if I only do a little bit at a time.

🌲 Go on a walk

Going on a walk and breathing in the fresh air is the one thing that will always lift my mood and give me an instant refresh. No matter how stressed or stuck I feel, the moment I step outside, I feel so much lighter and tuned in to my mind, body, and soul.

🥘 Cook nourishing meals

Sometimes I get a little overwhelmed by the thought of cooking because I feel like I need to follow recipes to a tee and do everything perfectly. This year, my intention is to keep things simple and make adjustments as needed so that cooking can feel easeful and sustainable.
