Sorry JoyBurst this is a flop 0/10
Joy Burst Gummy Bear Sparkles… yeah, this one is a hard no for me. 😬
First off, it only has 4g of protein, which honestly shouldn’t even qualify as a “protein soda.” A string cheese has more protein than this, so that’s already disappointing.
But the real issue is the taste. I took one sip and immediately knew it wasn’t happening. The flavor is just off and not enjoyable at all. Definitely not something I could finish.
Save your money on this one.
Cute can tho…

So, you've landed here because you're curious about the JoyBurst Gummy Bear Protein Soda, right? I totally get it! I'm always on the hunt for delicious, convenient ways to get my protein in, especially after a good gym session. The idea of a sparkling 'protein soda' with a fun Gummy Bear flavor sounded like a dream come true. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but, and I felt compelled to share my honest thoughts, expanding on why I rated it a firm 0/10. Let's cut to the chase with the 'protein' aspect. While the can proudly states 'protein soda,' the reality of only 4 grams per serving is, frankly, a bit misleading. For anyone serious about meeting their protein goals, whether for muscle recovery or satiety, 4g is a drop in the ocean. To put it into perspective, a single serving of plain Greek yogurt can easily offer 15-20 grams, and even a couple of slices of turkey breast will get you more. If you're looking for a substantial protein boost, this simply isn't it. It feels more like a regular soda with a token amount of protein thrown in, not a functional protein drink. Now, for the main event: the taste. I went into this hoping for a nostalgic, sweet, and fruity gummy bear explosion. Instead, I was met with a flavor that was just... off. It wasn't just subtly disappointing; it was genuinely unpalatable. The initial sip hit me with a very artificial sweetness, quickly followed by a chemical-like aftertaste that lingered unpleasantly. It lacked any of the vibrant, playful fruitiness you'd associate with gummy bears. There was no depth, no natural-tasting fruit notes, just a peculiar blend that made me question what I was actually drinking. I really tried to give it a fair chance, but after a few sips, I knew I couldn't finish it. It felt like a diet soda gone wrong, trying too hard to emulate a candy flavor and failing miserably. As someone who enjoys both refreshing sparkling drinks and effective protein supplements, I found the JoyBurst Gummy Bear Protein Soda missed the mark on both counts. If you're looking for a protein source, you'll find much more potent and palatable options in traditional protein shakes, clear protein waters from other brands, or even just incorporating more protein-rich foods into your diet. And if you're simply craving a delicious, bubbly beverage, there are countless sparkling waters, flavored seltzers, or even healthier soda alternatives that offer a far more enjoyable experience without the strange aftertaste or the deceptive 'protein' claim. My personal recommendation? Save your hard-earned money and your taste buds. This one is definitely a skip in my books!
