Keep Christ at The Center! ✨

Take a moment in read Today's Devotional.

The cross invites us into more than forgiveness... it invites us into a life where God is at the center and we are free to follow Him wholeheartedly.

8/3 Edited to

... Read moreReflecting on the profound message of keeping Christ at the center of our lives, I’ve found that embracing this truth brings a transformative freedom that reshapes daily living. The devotional highlights how the cross isn’t just about forgiveness but also about surrendering our selfish desires and allowing God to become the focal point of our existence. In my own journey, I noticed that when I attempted to navigate life with myself at the center, it led to frustration, conflict, and a sense of emptiness. The powerful insights from the devotional and OCR content resonate deeply: selfishness and sin, often masked by seemingly small moments like arguments or bitterness, actually stem from putting 'me' as the king of my life. This idolatry of self subtly poisons relationships, happiness, and even spiritual growth. One practical step I took was intentionally shifting focus each morning—praying that God would direct my thoughts, decisions, and actions, replacing my “me-ism” with “God-first.” This discipline helped me see how easily the desires for comfort, control, or approval can creep in and displace God from the center stage. As the devotional suggests, life’s true meaning and peace come from submitting our will to God’s will, which frees us from the burden of trying to manage everything on our own. Further, the devotional mention of the ‘idol of self’ connected with real-life examples like family conflicts or societal unrest showed me how deeply pervasive this struggle is. It reminded me that holding God at the center is not a one-time event but a daily, ongoing choice. Incorporating these reflections into my life has made celebrations more joyful, challenges more bearable, and brokenness more healable. I realized that only by decimating misplaced loyalty to self and embracing God’s grace through the cross can we experience genuine peace that surpasses understanding. For anyone feeling stuck in self-centered patterns, keeping Christ at the center becomes the ultimate liberation and source of enduring joy.

So true!!!… Another eye opener that keeps reminding us that God is at the center at ALL times and it’s so easy to slip up and turn the tables into putting ourselves at the center or at least try to. What an AMAZING reminder! I personally needed this. Thank you for sharing!!💜✝️🙏
