This one has so much to pull from because it challenges us to see the gospel as something we live every day, not simply something we believed once.

... Read moreIn my personal journey of faith, I've come to embrace the gospel not merely as a historical event or future promise, but as a dynamic force that reshapes my daily living. The idea that Jesus belongs in every area of life—be it marriage, parenting, finances, addictions, or emotional struggles—is central to experiencing true spiritual vitality. Often, believers celebrate their initial salvation, yet when faced with challenges, they seek solutions outside of the gospel—turning to self-help books or advice rather than the transformative power already given through Christ. This disconnect, sometimes described as 'functional gospel amnesia,' leads to missing out on the profound wisdom and strength embedded in the gospel for everyday living. Embracing the gospel as the lens through which to view life means recognizing that nothing remains unchanged. It redefines how we understand our identity, how we interpret trials, and where we find peace and security. For me, this has meant learning to rely continually on the presence, promises, and power of Jesus, rather than my own resources. The Apostle Peter reminds us in 2 Peter 1:3 that God has given us "all things that pertain to life and godliness," meaning the gospel equips and sustains us in every situation. Realizing this transformed my approach to difficulties; instead of seeing struggles as obstacles, I now see them as opportunities to depend more deeply on Christ's wisdom and grace. Living the gospel daily requires intention and a mindset shift—from viewing it as a ticket to heaven to experiencing it as a life-changing reality here and now. It's a call to allow Jesus to take residence in every corner of our lives, influencing decisions, relationships, and desires. If you find yourself wrestling with areas of life where the gospel hasn’t fully impacted you, I encourage you to revisit this truth and seek it earnestly. The gospel provides everything you need to mature spiritually and live out your calling with confidence and peace. Let it be the foundation and framework for your whole life, so that each day is marked by the renewing presence of Jesus in every area.
