Nothing Surprises God
There is nothing God has to discover, figure out, or learn. He already knows the beginning, the middle, and the end.
And I love how Psalm 139 makes this personal. God’s omniscience isn’t only about Him knowing everything happening in the world. He knows you.
He knows when you sit down and when you get up.
He knows your thoughts before you explain them.
He knows the words you’re about to say.
He knows what you’re carrying that you haven’t told anyone about.

Reflecting on God's omniscience brings a profound sense of comfort and reassurance in daily life. From personal experience, knowing that God already understands every situation before it unfolds means that nothing we face catches Him off guard. Whether we're experiencing moments of joy or grappling with hidden struggles, God's intimate knowledge reassures us that we are never alone. Psalm 139 beautifully illustrates this by emphasizing how God knows our every move and thought—even those we keep inside our hearts. This level of awareness is not impersonal but deeply personal, offering a connection that encourages openness and honesty in prayer. Unlike fortune tellers who claim to predict the future, God’s omniscience is rooted in His loving care and wisdom. Prayer becomes more meaningful when we realize it is not about informing God of our needs but aligning our hearts with His. It allows us to grow in awareness of His plans and find peace knowing He holds our lives securely. In challenging times, remembering that God knows the 'beginning, middle, and end' helps us surrender control and trust His guidance. Additionally, embracing God's all-encompassing knowledge can inspire us to practice empathy and patience with others. Since God sees beyond the surface, He reminds us to withhold judgement and extend grace, recognizing that everyone carries unseen burdens. This spiritual insight can transform how we interact daily, fostering kindness and deeper relationships. In summary, understanding that nothing surprises God invites us to live with confidence and humility. It encourages a lifestyle grounded in faith, prayer, and trust, knowing that God's wisdom never fails and His love is constant.
