birth control after birth 💉
Hey y’all 👋🏾
I was so skeptical of birth control prior to my pregnancy because I had so many fears of the side effects it would have on my body 😬
I’m currently 9 months on birth control (nexplanon) and so far these are the symptoms I’ve faced:
✨ Pros:
-no period still
-over 99% effective
👀 Cons:
-weight gain
-massive migraines
-bloating
So far with the symptoms i’ve faced I am considering removing my implant. The main reason why is because I CANNOT deal with the insane migraines i get. They’ve tripled in pain since before birth control. I’ll totally keep y’all posted if I decide to make this decision…
⭐️Overall rating: /10:
6/10 ⭐️ cramping doesn’t happen too often, and i do tend to bloat often which is not flattering, but that could just be my diet. As far as bruising went I did have a little spot around the area of the injection spot, that went away within 2 weeks. By far the worst side effect for me is my migraines that come about once or twice a month!
hope this post is resourceful!

Birth control after giving birth can be a significant decision for new mothers. Many women, like myself, often have concerns about the side effects of different contraceptives. It's essential to understand both the advantages and drawbacks of options such as Nexplanon, an implantable birth control method placed under the skin of the arm. Nexplanon is known for providing more than 99% effectiveness in preventing pregnancy, making it a reliable choice for many post-pregnancy individuals. However, potential side effects often include weight gain, bloating, and headaches, which can cause frustration. Understanding these experiences helps in making an informed choice. Another aspect to consider is the long-term impact of such birth control methods. Some women may experience severe migraines, which can be debilitating. Women's health groups and healthcare providers recommend discussing side effects and personal health history extensively before selecting a birth control method. Always consider individual medical needs and lifestyle when choosing the right birth control. In conclusion, while Nexplanon offers many benefits post-birth, it's essential to continually assess its impact on individual well-being. Keeping open communication with healthcare providers can help address concerns and explore alternative options if necessary.

I currently have the Nexplanon now, my side effects so far are instant mood shift changes, I can literally be okay one minute and then the next minute, I’m staring off into space feeling really gloomy and also hair loss? My doctor said it was post partum hair loss but I’ve had 3 babies and never have i ever experienced hair loss with any of my first 2, ik every experience is different but since getting on it, every time I wash my hair I have hand fulls at a time that just come out so I’m considering taking mine out too, just terrified to get pregnant again 😭😭
