Government Shutdown
I don’t usually make posts like this, but my heart is heavy seeing so many hardworking people being suddenly and unfairly affected by this government shutdown. Millions of families are struggling to access food stamps because Congress failed to pass the funding bills needed to keep our government open. Both sides are pointing fingers instead of finding solutions, and while Republicans tried to pass a short-term bill to keep things running until late November, Democrats rejected it because it didn’t include their demands for more healthcare funding and policy changes. Rather than agreeing to a temporary fix that would have protected families, they chose to hold out, leaving millions in limbo. And what hurts most is that while everyday Americans go without pay or food support, Congress still gets paid, their salaries are legally protected, even as others suffer. I’m not on SNAP myself, but for those who are, please don’t lose hope. Reach out to your local food banks, churches, and community centers for help. This is not about left or right, red or blue, this is about humanity. My heart and prayers are with every mother, father, and child trying to make ends meet during this time. May the ancient spirits guide us back to unity, compassion, and wisdom. Amen, so it is spoken. Ashe, so it shall be done. May their energy bring peace, provision, and light to every home tonight. 🙏🏼
