Rate The Sunflower Lego Set 🌻
Flowers for days 🌺
As the resident flower Lego builder, I say as I’ve only built two sets 😆, I say the sunflowers are not a bad start to someone’s collection. Small sets are always the best way to start so you can get a feel as to which ones you want to purchase, built & display in the long run. Unfortunately it does not come with a Lego vase but can be purchased separately!
It is a very simple set to follow but the repetitiveness sort of messes with my ADHD. There are a lot of small pieces so you gotta be extremely careful not to drop any. The colors are very bright so it would be much easier to find ☺️
Purchase your forever flowers at Walmart, Target or the LEGO Store itself! 🫶🏼
Hey everyone! After sharing my initial thoughts on the LEGO Sunflower Set, I wanted to dive a little deeper and offer some more tips and insights, especially for those of you still eyeing this cheerful building toy. From my own experience with these 'forever flowers,' there's more to consider than just the build itself! First off, let's talk about display. One thing many of us notice is that the set, LEGO 40524, doesn't come with its own vase. But honestly, that's part of the fun! It gives you the freedom to get creative. I've personally experimented with a few ideas. You can pop these bright yellow sunflowers into a simple glass vase for a minimalist look, or even mix them with other LEGO Botanical Collection pieces. Imagine them alongside LEGO Roses or Tulips – it creates a truly unique and vibrant bouquet that never wilts. I've also seen people integrate them into larger LEGO MOCs (My Own Creations), adding a splash of nature to their brick-built worlds. The bright colors of these 191 pcs really make them stand out wherever you place them. Now, for the build experience itself, especially if you're like me and find some parts a little repetitive or are navigating the many 'tiny pieces.' The original article mentioned the build being a 'simple Set,' which is true, but that doesn't mean it's without its quirks. My biggest tip for the repetitive sections – and there are a few when you're building multiple identical flower heads – is to break up the build. Instead of tackling all the sunflowers in one sitting, maybe build one or two, then take a break. Listening to a podcast or some music can also make the process more enjoyable. For those 'tiny pieces,' I swear by using small sorting trays or even just a clean plate to keep everything organized. There’s nothing more frustrating than losing a crucial piece under the couch! This set is rated 8+, and while it's generally straightforward, having a clear workspace definitely helps. So, who is the LEGO Sunflower Set (40524) truly for? From my perspective, it’s an excellent 'Building Toy' for a wide range of people. It’s perfect for beginners to the LEGO world, especially if you're just dipping your toes into the Botanical Collection. Its relatively low piece count (191 pcs) makes it a quick and satisfying project. It's also fantastic for anyone who loves flowers but perhaps doesn't have a green thumb, offering 'forever flowers' that require zero watering. I think it makes an absolutely charming gift for birthdays, Mother's Day, or just as a thoughtful pick-me-up. It adds a lovely, cheerful touch to any desk, shelf, or window sill. Finally, a quick word on maintenance for your brick-built blossoms. To keep your 'forever flowers' looking their best, a gentle dusting now and then is all they really need. A soft brush or a can of compressed air works wonders. Try to keep them out of direct, prolonged sunlight if possible, as UV rays can sometimes cause the plastic colors to fade over time, though LEGO bricks are generally quite resilient. With a little care, your LEGO Sunflowers will bring sunshine to your space for years to come!

I just got this set too. It looks super cute!
