high tea food review - yay or nay? ๐Ÿฐโ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿซ–

๐Ÿ“Pacific Emporium (inside Pan Pacific Hotel)

Address: 7 Raffles Blvd, Singapore 039595 (Marina Square)

๐Ÿš‰ Nearest MRT: Promenade

๐Ÿ’ฐ Price: $70 (this is based on the $58++/person price)

๐Ÿ’› The good

- The ambience was ๐Ÿ’ฏ Really pretty!

- Drinks: the welcome drink had this hint of pandan which was really delicious! Teas were also good!

- Most of the savouries were not bad! Just that the bread was often a little too dry :/

- Strawberry shortcake, hukambi salted caramel tart and passion fruit pistachio bar were really good! ๐Ÿ˜‹ I was pleasantly surprised :)

- The laksa was nice!

๐Ÿซค The not so good

- The service itself was good, but the speed was really not it ๐Ÿ˜…

- Fish tank (yes, that's the name of the dessert) and the hazelnut praline puff were wayyy too sweet for me :(

- The sizes of the local delights shocked me into outer space because they were so...tiny. The bowl of laksa was small, but the crispy lobster popiah blew my mind - not in a good way - because it was so tiny it literally fit into a small saucer, the type you can pour soy sauce into ๐Ÿ˜… It was also more like ngo hiang than popiah as well

- The pineapple sorbet tasted weird

โš–๏ธ Verdict: Would I come back? Yes - but not for the high tea. I would come back for the buffet, since the items are the same (according to one of the waitresses we spoke to!).
