If You Woke up at 21YO - What Will You Do?
Hey SGFC Fam!
Happy Monday! Here’s your Monday motivation - very much needed in this rainy weather. 🫠🙃
You’ll notice I didn’t put “study harder” anywhere on my list. Why? Because if I had taken the conventional route, I might not be as street-smart and quick-witted as I am today 💅🏼 and I wouldn’t trade that for anything. 🤩
We can’t roll back time to 21, but we can make the most of where we are right now.
TLDR:
1. 💪 Love yourself MORE - physically & mentally
2. 🚫 Don’t live for others, live for yourself
3. 👨👩👧 Spend more time with family. They won’t be around forever

Reflecting on what I’d tell my 21-year-old self really helped me shift perspective. One thing I wish I embraced earlier is investing in myself—not just financially but mentally and physically. Starting a daily reading habit opened my mind to new ideas and helped me grow faster than I expected. Family time is something I undervalued at that age. In hindsight, those moments with loved ones are precious and irreplaceable. I encourage everyone to pause their busy lives and reconnect with family; you never know when opportunities for togetherness might slip away. Health truly is wealth. When I was younger, I didn’t fully grasp how crucial sleep, good nutrition, and regular exercise are. Now, I prioritize these to ensure I’m around and feeling my best for the long haul. Taking care of your body isn’t just a short-term effort—it’s a lifelong commitment. Another important lesson I learned is to stop caring so much about what others think. Being 21 is hard enough without constantly trying to fit expectations. I found peace when I started living for myself, embracing my unique path, and letting go of unnecessary worries about approval. If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed, remember that growth doesn’t have a strict timeline. You can always start making changes today that your future self will thank you for. Life isn’t about perfection but progress and learning. Treat yourself with kindness and prioritize what truly matters to you.
