Taking A Social Media Detox. 🧘🏻♂️
Hey SGFC Fam!
Happy Sunday! Hope you guys are having a great weekend! ☀️
As many of you may have noticed, I’ve been talking about taking a break from social media for a while now - and I’ll be doing so from tomorrow onwards.
The reason why is simple: while I genuinely love sharing and connecting here, I’ve realised I’ve been spending WAY too much time on my phone. For context, I reply to over 5,000 DMs a month 😅
So, I think it’s a good time for me to hit pause for a bit, slow down, and be fully present with my life offline. ❤️
My intention is to take this break for about 2 months, so I’ll be back again just in time for my Birthday & Christmas hopefully refreshed, recharged for me to keep sharing informative and entertaining content for you guys!
I’ll always be thankful for all for the constant love, support, and encouragement. You guys mean more to me than you know. 🙏
Take care of your health, your wealth in the meantime and I’ll see you soon, my SGFC Fam. 🫶
Taking a social media detox isn’t just about stepping away from screens—it’s about giving yourself the space to breathe and reconnect with the real world around you. From my experience, the constant barrage of notifications and messages can be overwhelming, especially when you’re managing thousands of interactions monthly. I realized this after tracking how much time I was actually spending on my phone and acknowledging the impact it had on my mental health. During my break, I plan to focus more on intentional living and mindfulness. Simple practices like taking walks without checking my phone, spending quality time with family and friends, and engaging in hobbies that don’t involve screens have been incredibly grounding. Disconnecting has allowed me to appreciate the little moments and reduce the mental clutter that social media often brings. A digital detox doesn’t have to be strict or daunting; even short breaks can help reset your mindset. For anyone considering this, I recommend setting clear intentions about why you want to disconnect and what you hope to gain—whether it’s improved mental health, better sleep, or simply more presence in your daily life. I’ve also found value in reading and reflecting on motivational social media detox quotes that remind me why this pause is important. It’s about balance, not complete avoidance. As I prepare to return refreshed, I’m excited to share more authentic and meaningful content with you all. Remember, it’s okay to prioritize yourself and take the time to recharge. Your well-being is worth it.

When is ur birthday?
