Made this several times and it is so delicious. I have made some modifications to the original recipe that elevates it even more. I pat my chicken thighs dry with a paper towel before seasoning them so it’s more like a dry rub and seasoning stays on and adheres better. I substitute the paprika for smoked paprika. I also season the thighs anywhere between 2-8 hours before cooking and let them set in the fridge so the seasoning really soaks into the meat well. Also for the hot honey glaze I double the amount of apple cider vinegar used and add in crushed red pepper flakes. I make the glaze at the same time that I season the chicken and allow it to sit as well because then the honey has time to really absorb all the heat from the spices and it turns out even better after sitting for several hours in advance. Overall a very delicious wonderful recipe. If you’re not trying to be extra heart health conscious you could even add creole or slap your mama seasoning to the chicken and hot honey sauce.
