Let’s talk about the Bibles first 📚📖
I know I said I’d talk more about the notebook, but honestly as I was getting ready to make my post I felt led to discuss Bibles; and no I don’t mean translations. I know it sounds silly, but if you find one you really like the look of you are more likely to pick it up, but honestly it doesn’t stop there you need to like the layout. This is just a sample of ones that I own, if you got a gold star for most Bibles owned I’d be well on my way. I have a problem🤦🏼♀️😂 I have learned I really like one that has space for notes. The one I’m recently using (first picture) is a pretty simple one from Amazon (I actually found at Ollie’s) just a journaling Bible. So my advice today to help you stay consistent is if you get a Bible that you love and are excited about using it will be so much easier.
December Third, Wrapped in Wonder Scripture
“There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. His delight is in the fear of the Lord, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist.”
Isaiah 11:1-5 NKJV
Finding the right Bible can enhance your spiritual journey significantly. With numerous styles available, it’s essential to choose one that feels personal and inviting. Whether you prefer a journaling Bible or one designed for note-taking, the layout plays a crucial role in your engagement. For avid readers, options like the King James Version or modern translations are popular for their clarity and accessibility. Journaling Bibles not only provide space for annotations but also encourage a deeper interaction with scripture. Many people enjoy personalizing their Bibles, making notes on their faith journey, and underlining verses that have special meaning. The visual appeal of the Bible is also vital; a beautifully designed cover or attractive font can make it more appealing to read. Considering the functionality is key; look for features like footnotes, references, and space for reflections. Online reviews often highlight the benefits of specific editions, helping potential buyers make informed decisions. Investing time in social media groups, such as those dedicated to Bible journaling or specific editions, can offer support and community insights. Ultimately, the Bible you choose should resonate with your personal style and spiritual goals, inviting you to explore your faith more deeply.
