This squirrel 🐿️ decided to move in with me.
Having a squirrel decide to move in with you is truly a unique and heartwarming experience. From my own encounter, I discovered that patience and respect for the animal's natural habits are essential to building trust. Squirrels are curious and intelligent creatures; when they decide you're a safe presence, they'll show remarkable behaviors that are both entertaining and endearing. In my experience, creating a comfortable environment was key. I provided fresh water and squirrel-friendly food such as nuts and fruits, but I was careful to avoid processed human foods which could harm them. Observing the squirrel's habits helped me understand its needs better, like knowing when it preferred to rest or play. Coexisting with wildlife indoors requires attention to cleanliness and safety to prevent any harm to both the animal and your home. I made sure to squirrel-proof certain areas while leaving plenty of space for the little visitor to explore freely. This unexpected companionship brought a lot of joy and taught me about wildlife conservation from a personal perspective. I encourage anyone lucky enough to have such an encounter to embrace it responsibly and cherish the unique bond that can develop.

I hated having to do this, but wildlife belongs outdoors. She is at a place where she’s away from traffic, has a food source, and water.
