First OTC birth control pill, yay or nay?

First OTC birth control pill now on the shelves and available in bulk at Costco

I saw them for the first time recently at a drug store and this is a much better price per pill. Btw is you don’t know Opill, it is the first over the counter oral contraceptives. You do not need to have a prescription or a well woman's exam in order to get these. This is especially awesome for those who live with controlling parents who won't let you get birth control.

I am not sure should I get one. any suggestions?

... Read moreThe Opill has stirred conversations about accessibility and affordability in contraception. Being the first over-the-counter (OTC) birth control option, it offers numerous benefits, especially for individuals seeking privacy and ease in obtaining contraception. Traditionally, many young people have faced hurdles in accessing prescribed birth control due to parental restrictions or the need for doctor visits, making Opill a significant breakthrough. Priced reasonably, it can be acquired in bulk from stores like Costco, making it more accessible to various demographics. Additionally, the FDA has approved Opill as a prescription-strength option, ensuring that users receive safe and effective contraception. In making a decision about whether to use Opill, consider your personal health needs and consult with a healthcare expert if possible. Understanding how to properly use an oral contraceptive is crucial; users must take a tablet daily at the same time to ensure maximum effectiveness. While Opill doesn't require a prescription, the importance of being informed about potential side effects and health implications remains essential. This new OTC option could reshape contraceptive access for many, allowing them more autonomy over their reproductive health.

Make sure if your starting it take it at a time you KNOW you’ll be able to take it even within a hour you’ll have ruined your “schedule” personally I take it morning times and have many reminders in my phone for it I have not had any issues it helped my period come cause I was almost 2 months without it I could not tell you about the pregnancy rate with it but every girl/ women is different but I’ve had no issues so far.
