Snoring husband, lack of sleep
My husband is great, and we have a decent relationship. However, lately his snoring has been keeping me awake, to the point that it’s affecting my temper and my quality of life. If I bump him to roll over, it works for about 5 minutes. Once, I went out to the couch to sleep, and he said later that he should be the one to go out to the couch, but I don’t see how him losing sleep is necessarily better than me losing sleep. He’s reluctant to do a sleep study, which is about $550 after insurance. What can we do? We do have a side bedroom with a currently unusable bed, but fixing that would be just an alternate couch situation.

Also, elevating the head during sleep can be effective for some individuals. Additionally, stress the importance of addressing any potential underlying health issues—conditions like sleep apnea can cause significant disruptions. While a sleep study may seem costly, it's a worthwhile investment in health and relationship harmony. Seeking professional advice can provide both partners with the tools needed to navigate this challenge together, ensuring that both get the restful sleep they deserve.
