Honestly I didn't know the Bungo Stray Dogs volumes between 1-25 I read between December 2023 to December 2025 alongside volume 26 (yea I preordered at Amazon after redeeming my Microsoft Rewards points by Bing search & playing Xbox) the chapters from volume 27 & those yet to be released in English up to 130 are from the 1st part of the series whenever I saw some of my mate's BSD related content even though it's difficult to avoid spoilers 🤷🏻
Could that include the light novels as part of the 1st part too?
My guess for the 2nd part of BSD is to add more characters who are yet to be named after like Anthony Burgess Sir Arthur Conan Doyle JRR Tolkien Yuko Tsushima & Charlotte & Emily Brontë
Even Bones hasn't announced for the 6th BSD anime season
While I age more since I'm close to my mid 30's till late June I'll be waiting for the English release of volume 27 & hopefully volume 28 as well as the 2nd part
... Read moreAs a longtime fan of Bungo Stray Dogs (BSD), I’ve found the series to be a captivating blend of action, mystery, and literary homage. Reading volumes 1 through 25 between late 2023 and 2025 was an immersive experience, especially with volume 26 preordered and ready for release thanks to redeeming Microsoft Rewards points via Bing search and Xbox gaming. The anticipation for volumes 27 and 28 in English keeps the excitement alive.
In addition to the manga volumes, I’ve wondered about including the BSD light novels as part of the first segment of the series. These light novels often delve deeper into character backstories and expand on the main plot, enriching the overall experience. Fans looking for comprehensive knowledge about BSD should definitely explore both the manga and light novels.
The prospect of a second part in the series is thrilling. Speculations suggest it will introduce characters inspired by literary giants such as Anthony Burgess, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, JRR Tolkien, Yuko Tsushima, and the Brontë sisters Charlotte and Emily. This literary tie-in adds layers to BSD’s charm, making each character’s story more meaningful for readers familiar with classic literature.
Anime enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting official news about the sixth season of the BSD anime. Despite no announcements from Bones Studio yet, the community remains hopeful. The anime adaptation has consistently brought the drama and action of the manga to life with dynamic animation and engaging voice acting.
On a personal note, following BSD through various volumes is more than just reading—it's an experience that marks the passage of time. As I approach my mid-30s, looking forward to new volume releases feels like continuing a journey with characters I admire and stories that resonate.
Engaging with fellow fans on platforms like YouTube and social media, sharing hauls, reactions, and character favorites, fosters a strong sense of community. Who’s your favorite BSD character? Have you explored the links between the characters and their literary namesakes? Sharing experiences and theories can make waiting for new volumes even more rewarding.
For those new to BSD or longtime fans looking for more, combining the manga, light novels, and anime offers a comprehensive appreciation of this unique series. It’s a blend of compelling storytelling, literary references, and character development that remains fresh with each new release.
