Getting your nails done should be a relaxing treat, but sometimes it turns into a total disappointment, just like my recent visit to Exotic Nails in Gautier MS. It's so frustrating when 'what I wanted' doesn't even come close to 'vs. what I got'! If you're looking for a nail salon, especially in the Gautier MS area, here are some things I’ve learned to consider to avoid a similar nail fail. First off, clear communication is key. Always, always bring clear reference photos – even multiple angles – and don't be shy about confirming every detail. I’ve learned the hard way to explicitly state the exact shape I want, like ‘square’ versus ‘coffin,’ and to double-check the base color (e.g., a true beige/tan versus a pinkish hue) before they even start. If something looks off during the process, speak up immediately! It's much easier to correct a mistake early on than to be stuck with thick, poorly shaped nails that you paid good money for. When it comes to Exotic Nails prices, or any salon's for that matter, always ask for a breakdown upfront. A full set for $125, especially if the quality isn't there, can feel like a steep price. Factors like intricate designs (such as a flower detail), length, specific nail shapes, and specialty polishes can all drive up the cost. Make sure you understand what’s included in the 'full set' price so there are no surprises at the end. My experience with the wrong shape and overly thick application definitely didn't feel worth the $125. Beyond the price tag, pay attention to the salon's overall cleanliness, the technician's portfolio (if available), and online reviews. If a salon consistently receives feedback about wrong shapes, thick application, or poor color matching, these are huge red flags. It’s important to find a place where the technicians listen and deliver on what you ask for. Ultimately, getting great nails is about clear communication and finding a technician who truly understands your vision. Don't settle for less than what you paid for and what you envisioned!

They look amazing but I think the pink is more pink than tan or it’s just lighting
