I almost hid this version of me…
When I first posted the photo on the left, I used an emoji…because it was hard to see how bad it had gotten for me.
Today I’m showing it because I’m damn proud of the woman I’m becoming and the progress I’ve made.
In total, I’ve lost 55 lbs.
At my highest, I was 225 lbs…today I’m 170.
There were times I didn’t see the results..or the scale showed a disappointing number….but I kept going.
Week after week..month after month.
For anyone who is working towards a goal …just because you don’t see the results doesn’t mean nothing is happening in the background.
Keep going.
Because if you give up, you’ll never see the reward waiting for you on the other side 🤎

Sharing my own experience with weight transformation, I completely relate to those moments when progress feels invisible. At times, the scale barely budged despite my consistent efforts, which was incredibly discouraging. But, much like the author, I learned that the visible change often lags behind the hard work happening internally—through improved metabolism, muscle building, and healthier habits taking root. One practical tip I found invaluable was tracking non-scale victories. Whether it was increased energy, better sleep, or clothes fitting more comfortably, these signs quietly confirmed my progress. Embracing this helped me stay motivated during plateaus. Additionally, mental resilience became a cornerstone of my journey. Reframing setbacks as learning opportunities instead of failures changed my mindset drastically. It encouraged me to persevere week after week, just like described in the post. For anyone working toward similar goals, remember that the journey is as much about self-discovery and confidence as it is about pounds lost. Celebrate every small win and be patient with yourself—transformation often happens gradually and isn’t always visible immediately. Overall, documenting your journey, just like posting before and after photos, can be empowering. It reminds us to be proud of how far we’ve come and to keep pushing forward, because the reward isn’t just a number on the scale, but a healthier, more confident version of ourselves.

Congratulations 🎊 you look great
