Xavier is a sexy veterinarian and Samantha is a spunky girl in social media for a mustard company. I think Abby does the most amazing job at making characters so real, layered and fully human. When I read her books I always see myself reading almost 3 books, one following each of the individual’s own their life and then their love story together. Say You’ll Remember Me is no exception to this. Xavier and Samantha were both such complex people with challenging backgrounds and family dynamics.
I think the sensitive topics of memory loss and abuse were presented so well and in such a respectful and accurate way. It is clear Abby Jimenez did her research and was very mindful of these topics. It was real, respectful and raw.
I read this book in a day, I laughed and cried. It truly touched my heart.
My favorite quote comes from when Xavier tells Samantha he loves her for the first time.

I sobbed. Just so pure and sweet. I think such a special moment is the end, when Samantha’s mom smiles at them after the proposal. It’s a reminder that we can lose so much, but we can always recognize love💖
