Letter to my grandfather
Lord God almighty, bless our grandparents with long life, even the ones who have passed on who now living your kingdom may they have happiness, and good health. And be free from any pain that they suffered from on earth. May they remain constant in your love and be living signs of your presence to their children and grandchildren. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Letter to my grandfather.
Dear Granddaddy,
I can still see your slight smirk telling me to be good,though you know, you raised great women and men; before you left you asked me to keep a promise and I have kept it.
I hope you kept your promise to me and didn’t change because you we’re perfect in my eyes. God gave his son to us so that we can be forgiven and so we could have internal life.God he love Jesus so much he sacrifice his son . You would’ve sacrificed yourself for us because you loved us just as he loved his son. You would give anything for us. You was protective of your family always putting a smile on our face. Making sure we are safe. When I think of you, I think of the Commodores, smooth rides in classic Cadillacs, listen to oldies like Algreen. Sun yellow suits, silky, skin, Vaseline ,Johnson, and Johnson, scent.
I also think of tulips, lilies, and marigolds things you used to sell in the spring to make everyone happy.
I know you never said it when you were alive but I’m pretty sure we made you happy. I can tell the way you would care for us making sure we was greased up ready to go to church on Sundays pretty dresses pretty. We get to look good next to the most handsomest flyest guy in the room. “Mr. Strickland you are a sharp man. “ snakeskin shoes and yellow suits.

I haven’t got over the loss of you, finally admitted to myself, even though I have been blessed with great dads you were the first dad to me. You taught me how to be a lady. Pearls and shiny shoes cross your legs

You would be so proud of us. My only regret I didn’t finish school in time for you to watch my walk across the stage . I think of you sometimes get flustered because I’m glad you’re in a better place and you are no longer in pain and because I know you did good things on this earth I know you are ok.

Selfishly I need you here with me because I wasn’t done receiving the love that you made me feel.
It was so unreal, but I am glad that you’re not in pain and that me and your grandchildren have made you proud and your great grandchildren wish you could’ve have met Ray she is just like you.
So just in case you’re wondering up there if you left a stamp on this earth. You did in the most Beautifullest way.
