Back To School At 31 ✨📖🎒

Guys, I did a thing 👀😁

I was scrolling the other day and just randomly decided to sign up for school, especially now that it is free in MA (if over 25) 🎉✨🤗 I honestly thought I may have been too late, so when I got the email and letter saying I was accepted, I was shocked!

This is BIG, I mean, I always loved learning but school just was never for me. My grades were amazing but my attendance, terrible. I always moved at a faster pace than others, leading me to get bored. However, at this place in life, I feel that shouldn't be a problem. What makes me nervous most is balancing school, with mom life, and running a business with 1 more in the works 😩 How do you all manage your time?!

Originally, I signed up for marketing, BUT due to me being an entrepreneur, I have self taught and paid $1000s to learn from some of the best marketers. I felt like pursuing that would be a waste. So I ended up switching (already 🙃🤣) to Sociology/Anthropology. If I'm going back to school, I want to be really interested in what I am learning. I do work for myself as a fashion designer (unfortunately, they don't have fashion courses at this school) and brand developer/marketing coach, so if I choose to pursue a career with my degrees, than that's a plus ➕

I am so excited and a bit nervous, I do my placement test tomorrow so wish me luck 🤞🏾 🤗✨ I'll post updates on my journey and I hope we all have great school year.

Anybody else major in Sociology or Anthropology? How is it? Please share some tips, especially if you are also in your 30s and going back to school 🎒 🏫

... Read moreReturning to school as an adult can be both exciting and challenging. Many people over 30 are embracing education again, motivated by a desire to change careers or pursue personal interests. Sociology and Anthropology offer rich insights into human behavior and society, making them valuable fields of study. If you're considering studying these disciplines, explore how they can complement your current skills and career. Balancing academics with parenting and work requires time management strategies. Consider using planners, scheduling study times, and setting priorities to make the most of your time. Joining study groups or online forums can also provide support and motivation. Look out for online courses or flexible learning options that fit your lifestyle; many institutions now offer these to accommodate adult learners. Remember, it's never too late to learn something new, so embrace the journey with confidence and curiosity. Your unique life experiences can enrich classroom discussions and provide perspectives that younger students may not yet have. Best of luck on your educational adventure!
