Lazy or motivation?

I’m going to stay positive and say I find motivation to progress in many ways…

One of them is not wanting to change the plates on the cable or leg press machine.

Sometimes I just look at what’s on it and say, eh I’ll try it. 🤣

It usually works for me though. 🤷🏼‍♀️

So it’s not laziness…it’s motivation. 😅

... Read moreIn my own fitness journey, I've found that motivation often comes from unexpected places. Sometimes, like the author, I face moments where the thought of changing weights or adjusting equipment feels like a hassle. Instead of letting this stop me, I try to embrace it as a small motivational challenge. For instance, I'll look at the weight already set on a leg press or cable machine and commit to giving it a shot, even if it’s a bit more or less than my usual. This strategy has helped me break through mental barriers and maintain consistency without overthinking every detail. It's important to recognize that such decisions are not about being lazy but about finding manageable ways to stay active and engaged. In fact, this approach can reduce gym anxiety and decision fatigue, making workouts feel less daunting. Additionally, wearing comfortable and motivating workout gear, like those from brands such as Gymshark, can also enhance confidence and drive. Remember, fitness progress isn't always about pushing maximum weights or perfect routines; sometimes, it's about those small wins in attitude that sustain long-term commitment. If you ever feel unmotivated, try accepting the current setup on machines or experiment with whatever weight feels approachable. Often, this small step can lead to discovering strength you didn’t expect and keep you moving forward in your fitness goals.
