The model number is "MS-07C-5" and the English notation is "GOUF Experiment Model."
It was refurbished as a test bed for the next main production machine based on the Gouf, which Zimat contracted to license production from Zionic.
Only one aircraft was manufactured, and it was subjected to various tests at a test site in North America, but it has not been operated in actual battle. It is also a mysterious aircraft that most things such as the details of the test, the treatment of this aircraft after the test, and the identity of the test pilot are still unknown.
Instead of eliminating the various weapons of Gouf except for the shield, it is equipped with a heat saber used by the later Dom on the back.
The appearance is like a Gouf arm weapon, head blade antenna, waist power pipe removed, Dom's mono rail, shoulder armor, and back thruster attached, but each shoulder has one spike attached, and the mount latch of the heat saber is box-shaped and larger than that of Dom (the head is a shape with a power pipe close to the later prototype Dom, but unlike that, this machine is derived from Gouf It is equipped with an oral duct).
Five leg thrusters are installed on each leg, which is a unique feature of this machine that does not exist in the prototype Gouf or later Dom. This seems to be an attempt to incorporate a hover running function like the Dom and Gouf flight test type, but technically it is still in the basic research stage, and even if hover running was realized at the stage of this machine, it is considered that it was only possible to run for a short time at most.
Test data of this aircraft and Gouf flight test type will eventually contribute to the development of Prototype Dom and Dom. And, in the MSD of THE ORIGIN deployed later, a new aircraft called Dom Prototype Experimental Aircraft that connects this aircraft and Prototype Dom is newly set.

グフ試作実験機（MS-07C-5）は、私自身もガンダムシリーズの奥深い世界観に触れたなかで、実に興味深い機体の一つだと感じています。画面や資料で見かける機体とは異なり、この試作実験機は実戦配備されたわけではなく、一機だけ北米の試験場でのテストに用いられたという点がまずユニークです。 特に注目すべきはその特徴的なデザインです。例えば、背部に装備されたヒートサーベルは後のドムが使う武器の先駆けであり、脚部に片足5基ずつ設置されたスラスターはホバー走行のための基礎的研究の跡が感じられます。私もこのホバー走行がどの程度実現していたのかとても気になり、設定資料などを読み解くのが楽しかったです。 また、この機体が実際にはテストパイロットの詳細や試験内容が不明で謎に包まれていることも、ファンにとって妄想や考察を掻き立てる魅力の一つです。『THE ORIGIN』のMSDでさらに発展したドム試作実験機が設定されたことから、このグフ試作実験機のデータがどれだけ重要であったかがうかがえます。 個人的には、グフの各種兵装を廃してまで実験に注力したこのMSV（モビルスーツバリエーション）機体は、ガンダム世界のリアリティを高める技術発展過程の一端を垣間見せてくれる貴重な存在だと思います。このように深堀りすると、ガンダムシリーズの世界観がさらに豊かになり、ファンとしての楽しみが増していきます。
