I know how hard it can be to find a great spot that caters to both adults and little ones, especially in a bustling city like New York. So, when I decided to explore the Dumbo area of Brooklyn with my energetic 3-year-old, Tous Les Jours Dumbo immediately caught my eye. We were in the mood for something sweet and a warm drink, and I'd heard great things about this French-Asian bakery chain. But the real question was: how would it fare with a curious toddler in tow? From the moment we stepped inside, I was pleasantly surprised. The Dumbo location of Tous Les Jours feels bright and welcoming, with a clean, modern aesthetic. There was enough space to comfortably navigate with a stroller, which is always a huge plus for a #girlmom like me! My 3-year-old was immediately captivated by the colorful display of pastries and cakes – it was like a wonderland for her little eyes. The staff were super friendly and patient, even when my daughter pointed at practically everything behind the glass. We decided to grab a couple of their famous croissants (one plain, one chocolate for my little explorer), a savory pastry for myself, and of course, a coffee for me and a small juice for her. The quality of everything was top-notch, as expected from Tous Les Jours. My chocolate croissant was flaky and perfectly sweet, and my coffee hit just the right spot. My 3-year-old absolutely devoured her plain croissant, which is always a good sign! They also had a variety of sandwiches and salads, making it a great option for a quick lunch too. One of the best things about this Tous Les Jours in Brooklyn is its location. It's perfectly situated for a family day out. After our delightful treats, we took a short walk to the waterfront, enjoying the stunning views of the Manhattan bridge and the city skyline. There are also several playgrounds nearby, which is essential for burning off that toddler energy after a sugar rush! It really made for a perfect little outing. If you're planning a visit to Tous Les Jours Dumbo with your own little one, here are a few tips I picked up: Timing is Key: We went on a weekday morning, and it wasn't too crowded, allowing us to find a comfortable spot easily. Weekends might be busier. Stroller Friendly: As I mentioned, there's good space, but try to avoid peak hours if you have a larger stroller. Kid-Friendly Choices: While they don't have a dedicated kids' menu, many of their pastries, especially the plain croissants, pain au chocolat, and fruit tarts, are perfect for little hands and picky eaters. Combine with an Outing: Make a day of it! Dumbo offers so much for families, from parks to the carousel. Overall, my experience at Tous Les Jours Dumbo with my 3-year-old was fantastic. It's definitely a spot I'd recommend for families looking for delicious treats in a relaxed, welcoming environment. We’ll certainly be back for more bakery adventures in Brooklyn!
