surviving the shark tank at wedding fairs

some things to keep in mind for first-time goers so you don’t waste any time listening to their sales pitch (aka hardsell 💀💀💀)!!

1. Do your research on all the vendors beforehand:

— ig/portfolio to see which fits your aesthetics

— check the rates to compare against the exclusive discount offered at the fair

2. Don’t rush to sign ☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻

there are about 8 wedding fairs in a year, that’s about one every 1.5-2 months so there is no need to be pressured to sign the deal right away (you would probably see them again in the next fair with the same promotion 😌)

3. Go straight to the shortlisted vendors, just say no to the sharks otw iykwim, check out the exclusive discounts and see from there..

Again, you DONT have to sign right away, consider if it is within your budget and meets your aesthetics💪🏻If you need more time, just come back next fair to sign:)

all the best, hope u survive (my first time gg to a fair was just traumatising hence writing this so u wont experience what i did lol)

... Read moreWhen I first attended a wedding fair, I was caught off guard by the sheer number of vendors pushing hard to get me to sign on the spot. To avoid this experience, it’s crucial to prepare beforehand. Start by browsing each vendor’s Instagram or website to see their style and past work—this helped me shortlist only the ones that felt right for our wedding vibe. Another tip is to understand that wedding fairs happen regularly, roughly every 1.5 to 2 months. So there’s no rush to commit immediately to deals or promotions that might not fit your budget or taste. I found that taking a breather and returning for a second visit cleared my mind and helped me make better decisions. At the fair, I made it a point to politely decline vendors I wasn’t interested in and head straight to my shortlisted booths. This kept me from wasting time and helped me focus on the vendors who were offering genuine value and exclusive discounts. Don’t feel pressured to agree on the spot—the fair will come around again, and you can revisit the best offers later. By following these strategies, surviving the shark tank at wedding fairs becomes less stressful and more productive. Remember, your wedding should reflect you, so take control and choose vendors who align with your vision and budget. Good luck!
