Tailor Made Suits Pt.1

truly a hidden gem for tailoring at a fraction of the cost!! they are from BKK iirc and visit SG every start of the month for fittings/orders.

suit + pants range from $350 to $1k (including pants), depending on the material you choose. i’d suggest going for something more stretchable and cooling to the touch — and ofc a colour that complements your skin tone!!

fiancé spent about $700 total: $600 for the full suit + $100 for a shirt. you can customise the lapels (peak, notch, shawl) and even the width (usually based on your shoulder width), choose with/without pockets, and with/without a buttonhole on the lapel depending on where the groom wants to place the boutonnière (typically boutonnière at the lapel buttonhole, handkerchief in the pocket). pockets are optional… but better to have than not imo. you can also customise the shirt - from choosing the material, cuff styles to shirt’s front & back styles.

didn’t realise customising a suit involves so many decisions, but it’s 100% worth it for the price. we spent a solid 2 hours here!! stay tuned for pt. 2 when we head back to try on the suit skeleton ✨

... Read moreIf you’re considering getting a tailor-made suit in Singapore, I highly recommend looking into King’s Fashion House. They offer a remarkable combination of top-notch craftsmanship and affordability, with prices ranging from $350 to $1,000 depending on fabric and design choices. From my experience, their team is very accommodating and knowledgeable, guiding you through style options like lapel types (peak, notch, shawl) and personalized lapel widths that suit your frame. One thing I appreciated was the detailed customization options for shirts as well — choosing fabric, cuff style, and the front and back design really helped complete the look and ensure the outfit felt cohesive. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and attention to detail for the price point. The fact that their team visits Singapore regularly made scheduling fittings convenient. The material recommendations, especially stretchable and cooling fabrics, were spot-on for Singapore’s climate. The whole process took about two hours, but it was worth every minute because you’re investing in a suit tailored exactly to your preferences and measurements. Also, the option to customize pockets and the boutonnière buttonhole placement is a thoughtful touch, particularly for wedding suits. Based on this experience, I’m excited to share more about the fitting and final suit try-on in the next part of my tailoring diaries. Overall, if you want a well-fitted, stylish suit with great value, King’s Fashion is a hidden gem worth checking out. Their Instagram @kingfashionhouse is a good place to start, showcasing styles and updates on their Singapore visits.
