wedding favor idea!
wedding favor ideas for a sweet tooth couple!
almost all of our guests took at least one of these candy bags home, and some took multiple! we only had a few of each leftover (no complaints there)
we had them out on their own table, not placed at the seats, to accommodate guests who don’t want either, or only want watermelons/m&ms
i bought favor 200 bags on amazon for $6, and 480 stickers (a third of the stickers said “our favorite,” which we did not use), and picked up the candy at walmart and some at Tops. these didn’t take long to pack either! the bags came with a sticky side to self-seal
definitely a cute and easy wedding favor that guests actually like!

When we were planning our wedding, one of the biggest questions was about favors. We wanted something memorable, personal, and something our guests would actually enjoy – not just leave on the table. That's when the idea of "His & Hers" candy bags sparked! It was honestly one of the best decisions we made, and seeing almost every guest grab at least one (and often more!) of our sweet treats made all the effort worthwhile. Why “His & Hers” Candy Bags Are a Sweet Victory 1. It's Personal, Fun, and Totally "Us"! Guests absolutely loved seeing our personalities shine through our candy choices. My fiancé's love for "His Favorite Peanut M&M's" (as highlighted in our signage!) and my obsession with "Her Favorite Sour Patch Watermelons" was such a fun, simple way to share a piece of ourselves. It sparked conversations and brought smiles, which is exactly what you want from a wedding favor. It makes for truly unique "his and her favorite candy bags" that stand out from generic options. 2. Guests Get to Choose (or Enjoy Both!) One of the best aspects of "his favorite her favorite wedding favors" is the element of choice. We put them out on a separate table, allowing guests to pick their preference or even grab one of each. This flexibility meant less waste and more happy guests, ensuring everyone got a treat they genuinely liked. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference! 3. Surprisingly Budget-Friendly & Easy to Assemble We were amazed at how affordable these wedding favors turned out to be! Finding "big bags of candy at Walmart" or local stores like Tops significantly cut down on costs. Our clear favor bags and custom "his & hers" stickers came from Amazon, making it a one-stop shop for supplies. The assembly was a breeze too; we pre-ordered 200 bags and had all the candy ready. Even for our 91 guests, it didn't take long to pack them, especially with the self-sealing bags. It felt like a fun pre-wedding project rather than a chore. Crafting Your Own “His & Hers” Candy Perfection 1. Picking Your Power Couple Candies: Beyond our own choices of Peanut M&M's and Sour Patch Watermelons, think about what truly represents you as a couple. Do you have a shared favorite? Or perhaps two distinctly different but equally loved treats? Consider: Childhood Nostalgia: Candies that bring back fond memories. Color Scheme: Pick candies that subtly match your wedding colors. Dietary Considerations: While we didn't do this, some couples offer a sugar-free or nut-free option alongside their main choices. 2. Smart Sourcing for Supplies: Candy: Keep an eye out for sales on "big bags of candy at Walmart" or warehouse clubs. Local supermarkets like Tops often have good deals too. Buying in bulk is key! Bags: Our clear bags from Amazon were perfect for showcasing the colorful candies. Look for sturdy, food-safe options, and definitely prioritize self-sealing ones – they save so much time. Stickers: Amazon also offers a fantastic variety of customizable stickers. We went with a simple design that said "His Favorite" and "Her Favorite," making it truly feel like personalised "his and her candy." 3. Displaying Your Sweet Success: How you present your "his and her favorite wedding favors" can add to their charm. While we used a dedicated table, you could: Incorporate them into your dessert bar. Place them in decorative baskets near the exit. Have a small, elegant sign explaining the "His & Hers" concept, perhaps with a fun anecdote about why those candies were chosen. This adds another layer of personality that guests truly appreciate. Ultimately, these "his and her favorite candy bags" were more than just a favor; they were a delightful, personal touch that made our guests feel appreciated and left them with a sweet memory of our special day. It's a simple idea with a huge impact, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to any couple looking for an easy, fun, and affordable wedding favor that guests will actually want to take home!
