• Ingredients
Cornbread

1 box cornbread mix (7.5 oz)
⅓ cup milk
• 1 egg
Dressing
• 1 cup butter
2 medium onions, chopped : 6 celery stalks, chopped
• 1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 lb pork sausage
• 16 slices white bread, torn
• 2 tsp dried sage
• 1 tsp dried thyme
• 1 tsp poultry seasoning
• 1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ cup fresh parsley, chopped
• 4 cups chicken stock
• 2 eggs

Bake the cornbread
Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix cornbread ingredients, bake 15-19 min, cool.
Lower oven to 325°F.

Cook the veggies
Melt butter in skillet. Sauté onions, celery & bell pepper until soft (don't brown).

Brown the sausage
Cook sausage in separate skillet until browned. Set aside.
Make the base
Crumble cooled cornbread + white bread into a large bowl (or pulse lightly).

Season & mix
Add sage, thyme, poultry seasoning, salt & pepper.
Stir in veggies (with butter), sausage, parsley, stock & eggs.
5 It should look soft and slightly mushy.

Bake
Grease a 9X13 pan, spread mixture evenly.
Bake at 400 degrees for one hour.
