US Destinations to Experience a Winter Wonderland
We all love a good snowy destination to visit, it can be so fun to see a snowy town covered in lights and filled with fun activities to do. I like to go places that are cold in the wintertime because I live where it’s warm all year round. From the cold and winters cities I’ve traveled to, these are the ones that were the perfect winter wonderland experience for me:
❄️ Leavenworth, WA- I have such a fun time whenever I visit Leavenworth in Washington because not only is it such a good place to visit in the winter, but it also makes you feel like you’re in Europe too! There are so many winter festivals and events that happen in Leavenworth and so many cozy places to hang out and enjoy the town
❄️ Estes Park, CO- I’ve been to Estes Park so many times over the years and I love it more and more after each visit. It is off season in winter so there are way less crowds which makes the whole town seem more cozy and quaint. They have hot cider stores and a few ice skating rinks which are great wintertime activities. I just love being in the mountains when it’s winter and you get so much snow up in the Colorado Rockies too
❄️ Bend & Crater Lake, OR- I was super surprised by how much I loved Bend and other parts of southern Oregon. There are plenty of slopes to go skiing and snowboarding on, and cute shops in the town to explore. Crater Lake is a great place to escape for the day and be in nature and walk trails and take in more beautiful scenery
