👁️🗨️ Wow, 2024 has been quite the journey for me! I've experienced a whirlwind of emotions—there were tears, laughter, worries, and moments of procrastination, but ultimately, I triumphed. This year was particularly tough as I dealt with the loss of my brother, which left me feeling low for a significant part of the year. However, my support system was incredible, helping me navigate through that dark time.
👁️🗨️ On a brighter note, I celebrated a major milestone by moving into my first home at 27, just before my 28th birthday! Speaking of celebrations, my child had an unforgettable block party for his 7th birthday, with 40 kids joining in the fun and an obstacle course filled with games. Additionally, I was honored to be nominated for the Habitat for Humanity Homeownership Program, where I was apart of building a family home from scratch for the first time! As part of the program, I’ll be volunteering alongside others to make this dream a reality to build my own home.
👁️🗨️ To top it all off, my best friend surprised me with my very first helicopter ride on my birthday! Despite my initial nerves, it was an exhilarating experience flying over downtown Detroit and taking in the sights. All in all, 2024 has been a wild ride, but I’ve come out stronger on the other side! LET ME COOK!!! 🫦

Reaching the milestone of homeownership at 27 was a dream come true, marking a new chapter in my life as I embraced the responsibilities that came with it. The joy continued when I organized an incredible block party for my son's 7th birthday, creating memories with 40 joyous kids participating in a fun-filled obstacle course. Additionally, I was honored to be nominated for the Habitat for Humanity Homeownership Program, allowing me firsthand experience in constructing a family home and giving back to the community. The excitement peaked when my best friend surprised me with my very first helicopter ride, an unforgettable adventure soaring over downtown Detroit. Each of these experiences reinforced my resilience and gratitude as I look back on a transformative year.
