Many times, in the rhythm of church life and celebrations like Palm Sunday, it's easy to get caught up in the outward expressions of faith—singing, dancing, and shouting praise. However, these acts alone do not guarantee a deep understanding or personal relationship with Jesus. From my own spiritual journey, I have found that truly knowing Jesus requires intentionality beyond the moment's emotions. One way to cultivate this relationship is by daily reading scripture, even if it's just one verse a day. This practice invites you to encounter Jesus personally through God's Word, revealing His character and love in ways that surface-level celebration cannot. Consistent prayer and reflection also help center your heart and mind, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you toward a deeper awareness of who Jesus is. I’ve noticed that many believers experience frustration or spiritual dryness when their faith is limited to routine church activities. Overcoming this involves recognizing that knowing Jesus is an ongoing process. It involves vulnerability, honest questioning, and embracing the quiet moments when you seek Him in solitude. Another practical approach is to look for how Jesus is present in everyday life. This could be through acts of kindness, moments of peace amid chaos, or the encouragement found in community. Spiritual awareness grows when we stop merely celebrating and start truly engaging—a shift from external practices to heartfelt connection. In summary, don’t be content with just celebrating Jesus on special days. Make it a daily decision to know Him—read, pray, reflect, and watch for His presence all around you. This journey transforms faith from a fleeting emotion to a steady, life-giving relationship.
