reading is for smart people

“you read, you must be smart.”

“look at them reading, what a nerd.”

i was conditioned at a young age to have a bad relationship with reading. if you read a lot of books, you were smart. but if you were too smart you were a nerd. no one ever taught me that is DOESNT MATTER what other people think, as long as I enjoy it.

I wanted to be a reader so bad but I couldn’t find any books I REALLY enjoyed. I tried to read what all my friends were reading and recommended and I just couldn’t get into it… until I picked up my first self help book. 🥲

When I started reading for me, I truly grew into a new person and continue to do so effortlessly ✨🫶🏼

I have been rotating between these three recently. They are truly amazing resources for opening up your heart and mind to build the best life for yourself.

What types of books do you like to read?!
