Drop your lash tips
Starting out as a beginner lash artist can be both exciting and overwhelming. One important lesson I learned early on is to always prioritize the quality of your work over trying to complete as many lashes as quickly as possible. It's tempting to rush, especially when you're eager to build a clientele, but clients will keep coming back if your work is impeccable and precise. Another crucial tip is to always lash the bottom layer first. This technique helps create a fuller, more natural look and ensures the lashes lay properly. It may feel a little slower at first, but adopting this practice consistently improves the final result. I also found that requiring a deposit when booking clients can save a lot of stress and prevent cancellations. It helps filter serious clients from those who might not show up, protecting your time and income. Many new lash artists make the mistake of only lashing friends and family in the beginning. While this is a great way to practice, expanding your client base is essential for growth. Networking, social media marketing, and offering promotions for first-timers can attract new clients. And remember—it's totally okay not to lash every single day. Giving yourself time to rest and improve your skills between sessions contributes to better results and prevents burnout. Building your lash career is a journey. Keep learning, stay patient, and focus on delivering quality service. These small but valuable tips made a significant difference in my lash business and can help any beginner elevate their craft.
