Book: Rewind it back
Series: Windy City Series
Author: Liz Tomforde
Im so sad I’m in book 5 of the series! I don’t want it to end! But I also don’t want to read the spinoff so it looks like I’ll be ending with this one! Praying its just as good as the 4 before, which i have no doubts because its about Rio and she sets you up to already love him and want to know his story in the previous stories! So this should finish up my April reads nicely ! Time to jump in! 💛🏒 #currentlyreading #hockeyromance #liztomforde #rewinditback
I've been an avid fan of the Windy City Series for a while, and reaching book 5, 'Rewind It Back,' feels bittersweet. Liz Tomforde's ability to weave hockey romance with deeply relatable characters really shines through this finale. One thing I appreciate in this book is how it continues to develop Rio’s story—someone introduced in earlier books but finally given the spotlight here. It’s like catching up with an old friend who you’ve seen grow and face challenges, making the journey feel genuinely rewarding. What truly stood out to me was the balance between the sport’s intensity and the personal lives of the characters. The hockey backdrop isn’t just a setting; it’s integral to their emotional arcs and relationships. This connection makes the romance elements feel authentic and grounded. If you love stories where the passion for a sport matches the passion between characters, you’ll find this series engaging. Also, avoiding the spinoff was a conscious choice for me. Sometimes, spin-offs don’t capture the same magic, and sticking to the main Windy City Series felt like the right way to honor the journey. For anyone considering this series for their reading list, I recommend starting from the beginning to fully appreciate the buildup to this finale. It’s a perfect read for April or any month when you need a comforting, heartfelt story with a sporty twist.
