Rewind It Back by Liz Tomforde

I loved this one… but Book 4 set the bar dangerously high, so this didn’t quite top it for me. Still, Rios’ story completely pulled me in 🥹

Childhood sweethearts 💔➡️❤️

Years of history

Bad timing, growth, distance… and somehow still finding their way back to each other

That kind of love where you just feel they were always meant to come back together? Yeah. I ate that up.

Emotional, nostalgic, and full of that slow-burn “we never really let go” energy.

Definitely worth the read if you’ve been following the series 📖

The slow build of Rios and his love interest's relationship really resonates because it feels authentic—not rushed or forced. One aspect that stood out was the way the author captured the bittersweet nature of childhood sweethearts separated by circumstances yet never fully disconnected. The depiction of mutual pining and the subtle comparisons between past and present crushes ring true for anyone who’s experienced similar feelings. For me, the parts about "missed timing" and "wrong time, right person" brought back personal memories of relationships where timing was everything. It’s refreshing to see those complexities handled with kindness and emotional depth. Another highlight is the protective and confident male main character, which gives the story a grounded energy without overshadowing the emotional vulnerability. Plus, the small details like shared tastes in music added a wonderful layer of realism that anyone who’s been in love can appreciate. If you’re invested in slow-burn, nostalgic romance filled with genuine growth and history, this book is worth diving into. It’s a reminder that some connections endure despite distance and time, and sometimes, love truly does find its way back.
