My heart is shattered. I never thought I’d be writing these words about my brother Paul. Below is his obituary, for everyone who knew and loved him.
Paul R. Cabral Jr., of Bingham Maine, formerly Quincy MA, passed away unexpectedly in October 16, 2025 due to complications from a lifelong medical condition he ultimately succumbed to.
He is survived by his loving father, Paul R. Cabral Sr., his mother, Margaret M. Cabral-Haller, his step father, Daniel A. Haller, and his sister, Michelle Darling. He also leaves behind his nieces Tanya Darling and Marissa Darling, his nephew Ryan Darling, and his great-nieces and great-nephew — Shanelle Mosher, Christian and Cadence Iglesias — along with many cousins who loved him deeply.
Paul was one of a kind. He was bold, assertive, funny, and unapologetically himself. His sense of humor was sharp, his sarcasm unmatched, and he had a way of making everyone both laugh and think at the same time. He was passionate about his beliefs and never afraid to stand his ground — always convinced he was right (and more often than not, he was).
Beneath that tough exterior was a heart that loved fiercely and completely — sometimes to a fault. He cared deeply for his family and friends, and when he loved you, he loved you with his whole being.
In recent years, Paul found a peace and happiness in his new home in Maine that he had never known before. Those who knew him best will remember his dry humor, his stubborn streak, and his deep, loyal love.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in Paul’s memory.
