A well-organized diaper caddy is crucial to ensure that you have everything you need within arm's reach during those late-night awakenings. Here’s a breakdown of essential items to include: **Top Shelf Essentials:** Starting off, the top shelf should house crucial items like muslin burp cloths, NB diapers, and calming aids like gripe water and a rectal thermometer. Having two packs of wipes handy is also a big plus, as spills and messes can occur at any time! **Teddy Bear Pockets:** Don't forget about the teddy bear pockets for discreet storage of disposable nipple pads and silverettes, which are vital for breastfeeding moms to combat discomfort and leaks. **Middle Shelf Must-Haves:** The middle shelf is perfect for snacks and hydration items like protein bars and electrolyte mixes—crucial for those long nights. Ensure you have extra newborn diapers and a portable washable changing pad here as well. **Bottom Shelf Supplies:** For your bottom shelf, include a portable breast pump and breastfeeding essentials kit to ease the pumping process. Vitamin D drops are essential for newborns, maintaining their healthy growth, and portable changing pads add convenience while you’re on the go. As you prepare, remember to consider what works best for you and your baby. Seasoned moms often have invaluable advice and suggestions—don't hesitate to reach out and ask for tips! A thoughtfully curated diaper caddy can significantly simplify those early days with your newborn.
