Writing a personal vlog has been a transformative experience for me, especially as I navigate the complex emotions of my early 20s. Like many, I often find myself reflecting on the path ahead — wondering how much I will change and what my life will look like as I mature. The process of journaling and turning those feelings into words is both therapeutic and enlightening. One of the biggest challenges I face is accepting that my 20s won't be a perfectly aesthetic or Instagram-worthy journey. Instead, they are messy and unpredictable, full of ups and downs. This acceptance doesn’t come easily, but I’ve learned that embracing the chaos can lead to growth. Writing about this honestly allows me to process feelings of being lost or uncertain, feelings I believe many young adults encounter. This vlog also touches on reckoning with personal goals, such as transferring from community college to university to pursue journalism—an aspiration that once seemed out of reach but now feels tangible. In balancing these ambitions with everyday realities, writing becomes a tool for clarifying my dreams and fears alike. Another theme I explore is the bittersweet transition to adulthood — from looking forward to legally drinking to deciding it’s not a path I want to take because of what I’ve seen it do to others around me. It’s about making choices that reflect who I am, not just what society expects. What’s most powerful about sharing a writing vlog is connecting with others who may be facing similar feelings of doubt, growth, and healing. Writing has become my way not just to express but also to fight through the overwhelming moments when I wondered if I could keep going. Waking up and journaling after a tough night helps me clear my mind and regain hope. Ultimately, this journey is about more than just writing a book or following a routine — it’s about learning to accept myself, my imperfections, and my evolving story. Through this personal vlog, I hope to inspire others to embrace their own messy, beautiful journeys and find empowerment in writing their truths.
